Come and meet us at The Ottershaw Potter home studio!
Discover a vibrant mix of pottery, paintings, prints and pine needle weaving. Browse, ask questions, have a go yourself and enjoy live demonstrations, workshops and a friendly creative chat and coffee, everyone welcome.

Meet the artists:

Ioanna
Using traditional hand building techniques, Ioanna works with terracotta clay to create unique designs ranging from pots and plaques to intricate replica shoes and glazed tiles. Ioanna’s work blends an eclectic mix of influences, including stained glass and batik. She enjoys working in the community and runs regular classes, workshops for all ages, and offers a kiln firing service for “Pottery at Home” projects.

Join Ioanna for a ’Make a set of 2 terracotta coasters’ drop in workshop, held daily, £10 including kiln firing; plus hand building demonstrations.

Candide
Using locally foraged pine needles and stitching, Candide’s coiled baskets are made based on an ancient craft. Playing with colour, shape, stitches and embellishments, each piece is unique. Workshops are available and commissions are welcome if you’d like a basket made especially for you.

Join Candide’s workshop to make a bracelet with pine needles, taking place on 7th, 14th and 21st June, £25 per person, booking required.

Jo
With a love of colour, pattern, creatures and plants, Jo has too many ideas and loves working in 2D, 3D and all mediums; inspired by anything and everything, especially her travels to South America, the Galapagos and Africa. She runs small, relaxed classes and workshops in her garden studio and offers one-to-one tutoring.

Join Jo’s ’Paint a Flower Meadow’ workshop, taking place on 6th and 20th June, £25 per person, booking required.

Parking available along Brox Road, or in nearby Murray Road free car park. 'Make a set of 2 coasters', no need to book, drop in workshop, £10 includes kiln firing. Weaving and painting workshops need to be booked, please see events page or contact us for details. If you would like to visit the studio or attend workshops outside of the listed opening times, please contact Ioanna to arrange this.
