Come and see three artists working in three very different mediums.

In the shed…

Gina Carpenter is a lampwork glass artist who makes individually sculpted glass beads. Gina has be working with glass for over 7 years and loves its versatility. Her stylised flora and fauna designs bring together fun and colour to make collectable miniature decorations. She combines her glass beads with copper to make individual flower stems and hanging wreaths. Her bouquets are sold with a small porcelain vase also made by Gina. Her love of colour has also led Gina to make contemporary glass bead jewellery that is easy to wear, adaptable and unique.

In the garden…

Ali Lou Field is a tapestry weaver and dyer, who weaves landscape inspired tapestries combined with embroidery, and also highly-textured contemporary framed pieces. Each weaving is infused with the essence of special places, through the interplay of delicious colours and the natural textures of the yarn. By hand-dying her own yarns for weaving landscapes, she creates a wonderful breadth of hues for each piece, that create the delicious tonal variations that really help the weavings come alive.

Emma Streeter is a versatile artist working in paint, pencil, print and mixed media. Nature is her inspiration. ​Whether she’s drawing animals or painting landscapes, she is inspired by the beauty of the natural world. She loves watching wildlife, walking in local parks and spending time by the sea particularly Brighton, Devon and Cornwall. ​ She works from life and from photographs, enjoying  a variety of art mediums such as: coloured pencils, pen, watercolour paint, acrylic paint, oil paint, ink and alcohol inks. She also loves the freedom of creating fluid art works in acrylic paint, acrylic ink and alcohol inks. ​
