A stoneware sculptural female form. Made with imprints of seed heads in the surface texture. This female piece is handbuilt in clay in slabs and coils. The motion of the hair gives movement and life to the piece, whilst the body has a stillness, stability and strength.
This is quite a new phase of Faye’s work, most certainly with a Henry Moore influence. There is a quiet and contentment about the piece, though blown in the storms of life. This could be the contentment of inner faith that Faye wishes to express through her pieces.
