One of four original screen prints commissioned by Arts Partnership Surrey and produced by Ochre Print Studios to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the Great War.
About the artist
David represents The Women’s Land Army, formed to fill the gap in farm workers created by the conscription of men for military service. The print shows members standing proud and resolute in a field at harvest time. David researched period photographs bringing together details of dress and location through a series of sketches and colourways.
David produces paintings and prints that reflect his years in design and advertising, working for clients in the entertainment and media industries. He continues to draw much of his inspiration from music, film, TV, literature and current events.
