Elizabeth Saunders

I am a self-taught artist, based in Surrey. Mainly work in acrylics and I love painting landscapes and people. After a hiatus in my art journey, I started painting more abstract images. My semi-abstract paintings are mainly inspired by rivers and forests. I like my work to suggest and evoke landscapes to the viewer, bringing to mind the experience of a place. Colour plays a great importance in my work. Through vibrant images I try to capture the essence of a place while leaving something to the imagination.
