Hannah Elliott

Hannah Elliott makes hand thrown ceramic tableware and vessels. Tactile pots for everyday use, made on the potters wheel. She brings a contemporary palette of cream and blue to the English slipware tradition, with gesturally applied decoration, over bold red earthenware clay. Woven handles are added to her platters, jars and teapots. Hannah was editor of Ceramics in Society magazine in the early 2000s. She has a degree in Fine Art and English and works from her home studio in Haslemere on the Surrey/Sussex border. For Surrey Artists Open Studios 2024 she is exhibiting with the Wey Ceramics Society in South Holmwood.
