I am an intuitive process abstract painter exploring personal and universal themes of the paradoxes of being in our world. Inspired by personal and world events my bold paintings emerge through the process of layering, building and obscuring symbols, text and line in limited palettes. Working in series, each layer and painting informs the next, signifying a conversation in a wider dialogue of our search as humans for meaning, stability , courage and hope in an uncertain world. I draw from memory of my childhood and my work for 20 years as a psychotherapist working with adult survivors of abuse in childhood and adult relationships.
