Kiri Jones

Born in Surrey, I did my B.A at Norwich School of Art and went on to do a post-graduate degree at the Royal Academy Schools in London where I was taught life drawing by Norman Blamey R.A. , exhibited at the Summer Exhibition and was awarded a number of scholarships and prizes. After graduation I lived in London with a Studio in Streatham Hill. In 2012 I moved to Dorking to be nearer the inspirational landscape of the Surrey Hills. My work tries to capture the sense of emotional wellbeing that a walk through this beautiful landscape brings. A recent body of work has focused on an area of Surrey Woodland in Dorking called The Nower, which I walk in most days with my dog Ivy.
