Lisa Pettibone

Sculptor

Lisa Pettibone is a visual artist working in sculpture, installation and print. She has a BA in 3D Design in Glass from UCA Farnham and an MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins. Her work suggests the presence of natural forces such a gravity, energy and tension and often relates to scientific concepts in astronomy and physics. With a focus on form, she combines glass with other media such as fabric and metal and also folds and twists paper exploiting the transition of 2D sheets to 3D forms. Sculptures appear as objects, mobiles and wall hung pieces. Printmaking imagery explores landscape and abstract form. Lisa's work was included in the British Glass Biennale 2022, the Aesthetica Art Prize 2023 and she is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. In 2022, her work orbited the earth for 10 months on the ISS with the pioneering Moon Gallery Foundation project to send the first gallery into space.
