My work is mainly painting in watercolour, oils and mixed media. Taking inspiration from life I am particularly drawn to natural forms for expression. Since early childhood I have found profound satisfaction in colour and paint and find that painting can be an exquisite and beautiful way of communicating. With my work I intend to engage with my audience, connecting them with their own emotional and intellectual experiences. Using figurative painting with an element of abstraction, the whole of the work is about exploring the veiled, obscured or hazy. It strives in a thoughtful, colourful and charming way to give expression to the unseen. Perhaps it is the unexpected connection that draws people to the work.
