Wildlife Conservation and Pet Portrait Artist

Paula Mignucci is a professional animal portrait artist, based in the beautiful Surrey Hills, UK. Her works range from realistic wildlife art to pet and equestrian portraiture. Paula is a strong advocate for the protection of the natural world and animal welfare issues including hunting, exploitation and the effects of climate change on the animal kingdom. She has collaborated and donated her artwork to raise funds for wildlife conservation projects around the world and her work was awarded 'Highly Commended' in the 2023 Explorers Against Extinction 'Sketch for Survival' competition. “I hope that I can play a part in being a catalyst for change by highlighting the destruction of our natural world through my art.” says Paula, of her work. Paula works with professional grade coloured pencils and pastels and uses archival materials that will last for many years to come. Her style of drawing is anatomically precise and photo-realistic, with many hours spent studying the form, values, textures and more importantly the anima (soul) of her subjects.
