Paulene Cattle

Fine Art Textiles

Inspired by the built environment, both ancient and modern, and the detritus of ‘civilisation’, Paulene aims to highlight the beauty in the everyday by utilising materials to hand - including found objects, recycled clothing and previous artworks while drawing on her extensive collection of fabrics, threads and fibres amassed over time. She is passionate about recycling. Paulene exhibits regularly, primarily at venues in London and the South East including The Art Pavillion, Mile End, The Mall Galleries, The Lightbox, Woking, The Oxmarket, Chichester and has participated many times in both Wandsworth and Surrey Artist's Open Studios. She originally studied printed textiles at Reigate School of Art followed by City and Guilds in Creative Embroidery and latterly graduated in Fine Art at UCCA Farnham.
