Sophie Lawther-Dunn

Sophie Lawther-Dunn is a contemporary landscape artist based in the Surrey hills. Predominately self taught, Sophie works mainly in acrylic and metal leaf, exploring different styles and techniques to capture the transitory nature of the near and far landscapes that inspire her. ‘I use the natural world as an unfiltered expression of emotion, hoping to create pieces that are deeply personal to the viewer.’ Sophie has been working as a full time artist since 2017, but sold her first commission at the age of 6 for £60 in 1994!
