Sue Waters

After twenty five years as a graphic designer specialising in illustration I rediscovered the pleasure of putting pencil to paper for its own sake at an adult education class when the children were little. Since then I have worked in acrylic and pastel alongside my traditional mediums of ink and wash and pencil. Recently I have exhibited at Woking Art Society events including the annual show at the Lightbox. I work mostly from life, to capture the form and mood of a person or object, as well as the light and colour. My education was at Southampton Art College, and I worked for a conservation trust and publishers before freelancing for leisure centres and a variety of small and medium sized businesses.
