Abstract Seascapes workshop tutored by Alison Orchard

An exciting two-days exploring techniques to help simplify your composition, layer your brushmarks and create an expressive representation of the seascape.
Enjoy the more relaxed pace of this two-day painting course, with plenty of time to explore ideas in depth, and loosen up your painting style. There will be practical demonstrations sharing tips and techniques, helping you discover the secrets of how to progress from simplified studies on paper to a lively finished painting; helping you to let go of detail and enjoy painting using gestural and expressive marks.
Over the two days, you will have time to complete a few smaller paintings or work on a larger scale. Using a limited palette of Acrylics with mixed media, pastes and gels, you will gain confidence in creating varied brushstrokes, glazes and effects. This is an exciting and challenging workshop for a small group of artists. Suitable for all abilities.
