I left my career in the NHS to semi-retire and work in my studio making pottery. I use hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques to make ceramics that are both functional and non-functional and my work is influenced by texture, elegant designs and neutral colours with occasional splashes of colour! I\\\'ve been inspired by the beauty of the natural environment around me, together with memories of my travels. I particularly feel that handmade pottery is very much like a person’s life and reflects that essence - handmade pottery can never be perfect – a little like being human and reflects the maker\\\'s personality and life experience.
