Jo Sharpe grew up in Norfolk where she first found inspiration in the county’s scenic countryside unspoiled coastline and brilliant skies. Today, her work is inspired too by her favourite coastal areas, local Surrey landscapes and further afield. Working mostly in oils but sometimes in mixed media, her paintings demonstrate her passion for nature and love of colour, surface texture and pattern. Her renowned still lifes and contemporary botanicals highlight her compositional flair and background in textile design. Jo works with the seasons and has several collections she works on depending on the time of year. Her main collections are: Still lifes, Seascapes, Landscapes, Botanicals, Free Spirits (birds and skies).
She works in a large studio in beautiful Oaks park, opposite Mayfield\'s Lavender Farm. She welcomes visitors by appointment and during Open Studio days. Jo is a community artist and also runs art lessons and workshops for adults and children.
