Miranda Kemp

Having studied a visual studies degree I have continued to explore both printmaking and work as a bookbinder. My work invariably begins in the garden, gathering information from nature, looking at the patterns, shapes, textures and colours. My prints are predominantly etchings, made up of multiple aquatint plates. I also make dry point and lino prints. My work as a bookbinder specialises in contemporary fine binding to commission or for exhibition. I use traditional materials and techniques whilst developing and creating new decorative methods. This produces a modern binding that reflects both text and illustrations. I have has books in private collections as well as the British library.
