DAISY-Chain – The Disabled Artist Network Showcase

The DAISY-Chain network is set to showcase its remarkable work in a collective exhibition at The Lightbox Gallery in Woking, a renowned destination in the county’s art scene. Carefully curated by DAiSY (Disability Arts in Surrey) from a network comprising over 60 talented artists, this exhibition brings together a captivating collection of the most compelling and thought-provoking pieces these artists have created.

Featuring an array of paintings and sculptures, the showcase aims to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary creations by disabled artists, demonstrating their resilience in the face of daily challenges. Beyond the artistic display, the exhibition also seeks to raise awareness and elevate the status of disability arts, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and supporting the vibrant contributions of disabled artists in the art world.

Work for sale
The artwork will be for sale with work in the range of £100-500 (tbc). For sales information please email cara@daisyfest.co.uk to discuss payment.

Visiting information
General parking is recommended in local council run car parks nearby. The Lightbox has three disabled parking bays which can be booked in advance. If you would like to book a space, please call Reception on 01483 737800 or speak to a member of staff when visiting. The DAISY-Chain exhibition is located in the downstairs Art Fund Prize Gallery which is free to visit. Other gallery spaces and exhibitions within the building are paid. Place to eat
The Lightbox Gallery has it's own Café onsite serving hot drinks and lunch options. Other places to eat are within Woking town centre, a very short walk away.

Transport Details
By Train Woking Station is a five-minute walk from The Lightbox and just 25 minutes by train from London Waterloo. Just follow the signposts through the town centre to find us. Cycle stands are available at The Lightbox. By Car The Lightbox is 15 minutes from the M25, exit at Junction 11. From the A3 southbound, exit at Chobham/Painshill signposted A245. 'Brewery Road' is the closest pay and display car park, located underneath the WWF Headquarters on Brewery Road. Postcode is: GU21 4ND Alternative close parking can be found at 'Victoria Way' and 'Peacocks Shopping Centre' pay and display car parks which are both within 5 minutes walk of The Lightbox. By Bus Bus routes 436, 446, 48, 456, 592, 556 all stop at the Town Quay bus stop, next to The Lightbox on Victoria Way, opposite the theatre. Access to the stop is on the canal side by the WWF Centre and Bedser Bridge.
