When Hanna stands at her easel, she invites her soul to speak.

Through abstract painting she finds beauty in the untamed, joy in the freedom of movement, and a connection with her most raw, rebellious and messy spirit.

Drawing influence from street art and the faded glamour of torn poster walls and crumbling plaster Hanna uses mixed media and tools to add and subtract layers, building and excavating to allow an artwork to reveal itself spontaneously.

Her edgy + eye catching designs incorporate script, scribble, totems and elements to break up the paintings’ surface layer, offering the suggestion a ‘well loved’ and lived-in look.

Her desire is that viewers look deeper, and find a connection with the unknown and the imperfect.
